Doctor's Biography

Datuk Dr. Yap Hong Keong is an aesthetic physician with over 20 years of clinical experience and particular interest in dermatology. Renowned for his expertise in non-surgical facial rejuvenation, he combines advanced techniques including Botulinum toxin, dermal fillers, Biostimulator fillers, Regenerative, Remodelling fillers, as well as face and neck lifts therapies to deliver natural and effective result. He is the founder of Yap’s Clinic in Melaka, Malaysia.

Datuk Dr. Yap offers a comprehensive range of aesthetic services including Botox injection, collagen, dermal fillers, dermabrasion, laser skin resurfacing, and pulse dye laser therapy.

He commonly treats patients with acne scars, acne vulgaris, café au lait spots, comedones, dermatophytosis, lentigines, and melasma, among others. His services also include double eyelid treatments (with or without thread or surgery), eye-bag removal, and MSC cord stem cell therapies for holistic wellness.

Datuk Dr Yap earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the Manipal Academy of Higher Education in India (1996). After graduating, he pursued specialty training in dermatology at Cardiff University, United Kingdom, along with a Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine from the America Academy of Aesthetic Medicine (AAAM). In 2009, he was board-certified by the America Board of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine.

Datuk Dr Yap is a life member of the Malaysia Society of Aesthetic Medicine, the Federation of Private Medical Practitioners of Malaysia, and the Society for Anti-aging, Aesthetic, and Regenerative Medicine. He is also a member of the Academy of Medicine of America and the Malaysian Medical Council.

As a highly respected educator and trainer, Datuk Dr Yap is an International Expert Trainer accredited by APTOS, and he was honored as “ The Distinguished Aptos Trainer of the Year 2022”. Additionally, he is recognized by IBSA as Key Opinion Leader (KOL) for South East Asia. He is also a certified trainer with TEOXANE. Datuk Dr. Yap has led numerous training workshops across Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam, mentoring aesthetic physicians, dermatologists, and plastic surgeons. His training focuses heavily on hands-on techniques in fillers, Profhilo, and face & neck lifts.

Datuk Dr. Yap is multilingual and fluent in Malay, English and Mandarin, allowing him to connect effectively with patients and professionals across the region.
